‘a foreigner’ was filmed during Eiko Otake's ‘i invited myself vol. II’ exhibition at the Fine Arts Center at Colorado College in 2023 and was included in her ‘i invited myself vol. III’ exhibition at the Asian Arts Initiative in Philadelphia.

Deleite honors the nuanced experience of motherhood by examining the embodied weight—both physical and psychological—of maternal caregiving. The title itself, Deleite, plays on the dual meaning in Brazilian Portuguese: ‘delight’ and ‘of milk,’ capturing the complex interplay of joy and struggle that defines parenting.
